Job Description

Salary: $168,000 - 208,000 per year Requirements:

• 0–2 years of experience in WordPress development or a related field
• Basic understanding of PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and MySQL
• Familiarity with responsive design and web standards
• Experience developing themes and using child themes
• Knowledge of plugin fundamentals and commonly used plugins
• Problem-solving ability in a web development context
• Strong attention to detail and enthusiasm for learning from senior developers
• Good time management and communication skills for remote work
• Comfort using version control such as Git; experience is a plus
• A portfolio or examples of previous work are advantageous

• Develop and customize WordPress themes with PHP, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, ensuring mobile responsiveness and cross-browser compatibility
• Build or modify plugins to extend site functionality and choose appropriately between existing plugins and custom solutions
• Maintain WordPress websites, including updating core software, plugins, and themes, and optimizing databases
• Work with our design team to turn visual concepts into functional code while following SEO and accessibility practices
• Troubleshoot and resolve website functionality, performance, and security issues
• Assist with content migration, importing and exporting content, and setting up WordPress environments
• Help implement analytics, tracking, and security plugins, and customize the WordPress admin experience
• Document development processes, maintain code repositories, and take part in code reviews
• Keep up with WordPress developments, security practices, and emerging web technologies
